We were staying at the El Dorado Hotel and heard the chef was formerly of French Laundry, so we booked dinner our first night in town. It was a great start to our trip in wine country. We began the meal with a dozen west coast oysters. I had a tasty salad of mixed greens with pickled strawberries, which were out of this world. I had the bouillabaisse and Steve had the short ribs, both were excellent.
We paired everything with a Dutton-Goldfield Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley. We later visited the tasting room and enjoyed some of the best wines of our trip. We finished with a fantastic dessert…
