Slane is a pretty standard pub with average pub fare.  What we like about Slane in the summer is the large open front with great seats at the window.  It provides excellent people watching while having a pint.  We tend to go on a Saturday afternoon when it isn’t too crowded so we can enjoy the sunshine.  Not much else to say except that it’s one of the few bars in the West Village that’s tolerable.  I guess that’s saying pretty much.
