Adrienne’s on Stone Street

Adrienne’s Pizzabar serves a killer brick-oven Grandma-style pizza.  During the summer months there is outdoor seating available and the interior atmosphere is hip and upbeat.  It isn’t just a pizza spot, Adrienne’s serves a full menu with a full bar.

Stone Street has a handful of good spots for grub and Harry Poulakakos and some member or former member of his team are a part of all of them…Harry’s Steak & Cafe, Adrienne’s Pizzabar, Vintry Wine & Whiskey.  The pizza here is Nick Angelis’ and you’ll find similar pies at Harry’s Italian (s) and Inatesso Pizzabar. They’ve got fantastic brick oven 10″ round and giant ‘Old Fashioned’ or grandma’s pies.  They also make a great salad.  Steve & I always like to go back to this location when we’d like some restaurant atmosphere with our pie.  We also order delivery from the brand new Harry’s Italian next to Goldman Sachs or from Inatteso Pizzabar Casano.

It’s always a good idea to sit inside to avoid the weekend outdoor drink fest that occurs on Stone Street.  The lights dimmed for dinner as we sat there eating our ridiculously late lunch.  I had a Caesar salad with just the right touch of anchovy, but only was able to eat two slices.  Steve made the right move and skipped salad, jumping right into the steaming hot pizza fresh out of the oven.  We got mushroom to make some attempt at lighter fare.  Ha.  There are 10 pieces in the Old Fashioned pizza, so plan on leftovers or go with at least 3 people.
